La Dimora del Conicchio is situated on the hills of the Maremma Toscana and is less than 5 minutes by car from Capalbio. At about 6 km you can reach the centres of Capalbio Scalo and the area of Borgo Carige where you can find: supermarket, food shops, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, newsagent, tobacco shop, hardware shop, bank, post-office.

HOW TO REACH US

By car: from Rome about 120 km (approx.1 hour 30 minutes). Take the A12 freeway Rome/Civitavecchia and then continue on SS1 Aurelia. After the exit for Capalbio, follow the Aurelia. Turn right at the next exit, following the indications for “Le Forane”. You will then be on Via Valmarina, continue for 5,9 km and turn right on Conicchio Road. For those arriving from Siena, the trip by car is about 2 hours long.
By train: from Rome catching the railway line Rome - Pisa, get off at Capalbio Scalo (less than 2 hours).
By airplane: the closest airport is Fiumicino, about 1 hour away by car.

SEA, BEACH, HORSERIDING AND BIKE-RIDING

The seaside is only 8-10 km away (10 minutes by car). You will find beautiful free and wild beaches as well as resorts with equipment. Alternatively, driving 20 minutes you can reach the Argentario and rent a boat to go see the Tuscan Arcipelago.

Very close to the Dimora there are horse-riding areas. To better experience the pleasant atmosphere of this land of Maremma, we suggest you to go bike-riding in the nearby countryside or along the Tombolo della Feniglia, or along the bike pathe that passes near the Orbetello lagoon.
